Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has been suspended indefinitely for punching Suns center Yusuf Nokic in the face during a game against the Phoenix Suns.

Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green has been suspended indefinitely for hitting Phoenix Suns center Jusuf Nurkic in the face during their game on Tuesday.

The incident occurred in the third quarter of the game, when Green was being guarded by Nurkic. Green spun around and struck Nurkic in the face with his right arm, causing him to fall to the ground.

The officials reviewed the incident and determined that it was a flagrant 2 foul, which results in an automatic ejection from the game.

Green apologized to Nurkic after the game, saying that he did not intend to hit him. However, the NBA said that it was suspending Green indefinitely because of his "repeated history of unsportsmanlike acts."

This is the third time that Green has been ejected from a game this season. He was also ejected from a game against the Cleveland Cavaliers on November 11 and a game against the Minnesota Timberwolves on November 14.

In addition to the ejections, Green has also been suspended for two games this season for stepping on the chest of Sacramento Kings center Domantas Sabonis in April.

The NBA said that Green's latest suspension will begin immediately and that he will "be required to meet certain league and team conditions before he returns to play."

Warriors head coach Steve Kerr said that the team needs Green and that he has to find a way to control his emotions.

"We've talked to him about this," Kerr said. "He's got to find a way to keep his poise and be out there for his teammates."

Nurkic, who was not injured in the incident, said that he believes Green needs help.

"What's going on with him? I don't know," Nurkic said. "Personally, I feel like that brother needs help.

"It had nothing to do with basketball. I'm just out there trying to play basketball and they're swinging," he added.

Despite Green's absence, the Warriors were able to keep the game close against the Suns. Two-time NBA MVP Steph Curry had 24 points, five rebounds, and four assists, while rookie Brandon Podziemski had 20 points, 11 rebounds, and five assists off the bench.

The Suns led by 10 points with 2:30 left in the game, but the Warriors went on an 8-1 run to cut the lead to one. However, the Suns made their free throws down the stretch to seal the win.

Devin Booker led the Suns with 32 points, four rebounds, and seven assists. Bradley Beal, who was making his return from a back injury, added 16 points, three rebounds, and three assists.

The Suns are now 13-10 and in second place in the Western Conference. The Warriors are 10-13 and in 11th place in the conference.

Golden State will next play the Los Angeles Clippers on Thursday.
